Baseball is a Cape Cod tradition. Its ball fields have seen the skills of many Major Leaguers, including Chase Utley, Darin Erstad, Nomar Garciaparra, Jason Varitek, Jeff Bagwell, Albert Belle, Frank Thomas, and Chuck Knoblauch.
In 1992, the Barnstable Bat Company began making wooden bats. Our goal was to make a high quality product. Our goals and ideals have not changed.
By 1994, Barnstable Bats were a common sight on Cape League baseball fields. The league batting champion, Jon Petke, used Barnstable Bats to attain his .379 batting average.
During the 1996 Major League Baseball season, Oakland A's designated hitter, Geronimo Berroa, hit 31 of his 37 home runs with Barnstable bats. Players on the Twins, Royals and Red Sox also used Barnstable Bats in game play. Barnstable Bats were used in Major League Baseball for 9 years.
Today, Barnstable Bat supplies bats to all levels of baseball. Colleges, MSLB, high schools, along with youth and adult teams to name a few. Barnstable Bat also makes softball bats, fungoes, stickball bats, "Birth Bats", wedding bats, special birthday bats, corporate bats, bat holders, etc.
We continue to use the highest quality materials and manufacturing processes to provide the best bats available. Our mission is to make you a better hitter and join the team of players who use Barnstable Bats day after day.
